Convention Interns Selected

The Blue Ribbon Foundation is pleased to once again announce the selection of five interns to serve as staff members at the upcoming Western Fairs Convention and Tradeshow in Anaheim, California January 8 – 12, 2012.

This successful program, sponsored with support from Butler Amusements, has proven to be a great way to introduce students to the fair industry.  This year’s interns, selected from a strong pool of twelve applicants, come to us from CSU Fresno, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and CSU Chico.

Interns selected are Sarena Silva, CSU Fresno; Theresa Hinrichs, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; Jessica Neugebauer, CSU, Chico; Kelee Harding, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo; and Cheyenne Poitra, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

The staff and board of the Blue Ribbon Foundation feel that this has been a terrific program and a great opportunity for the industry to make friends and develop tomorrow’s leaders.  Convention interns contribute to and participate in a variety of convention functions including registration, committee meetings, professional development programs, receptions and other outreach activities.
